Nothing bad. You're just doing extra work.
However, if you do the steps where you open up the file and make a list of where they belong, you can just take a peek at the other resources and see if all the files for that style are "black" or "custom." Hm, does DDO list the bin a hair is in? You could open up the XML output file with WordPad and check if it does... Yep! Code:

I know several of the hairs I have are "pre-binned", but dang if I can remember which ones... Also good to know that I won't suffer a painful death for "old post bumping"! |
I poked around in the XML some more... the catalogPlacement of unbinned hair seems to depend on the color of the hair the creator started with. Basically, search for the directory, then see if all the catalogPlacement(s) are the same.

Hair needed binning can be quickly found using the Stylizer program.
Just look for groups of hair recolors in the same bin... |
