Yeah, WinRar is my favorite way to go!
I do use the SimPE backup button too- just to be safe- but all it really seems to do is copy everything to a SimPE Backups folder, which I am forever having to remember not to install my new downloads in!
I just recently got an 80GB portable drive (my F drive) that is my offical repository for all my (zipped) Hood copies & every file I have ever installed, just in case...
