Got the roof back on the bathroom just in time.
The last cyclone of the season, came all the way down our west coast, then joined company with a "Buster" sweeping the southern ocean.

Woohoo.
Man, it's raining. Rain glorious rain.
Gutters overflowing with beautiful sweet clean rain water.
Rain falling on the cropping paddocks.
Rain going into tanks and dams.
It's glorious.

Now all we are doing is waiting to see if it keeps up.
(see me trying to cross all appendages at once.)
If it hangs in till April 25 or there abouts, we should have a decent rainfall this year. We might even see a crop to harvest.
At least that is what all the old chaps say.
And I'll listen to an older more experienced voice before any one somewhat younger than me.

Not joking friends. Last year our winter rains failed to come, and we all just stood and watched our planted crops die from lack of rain.
Not a thing we could do. Been hand feeding our livestock for 8 months.

ZW, that's probably why I don't go to any BBS thingies.
Way, too many silly teenagers, with silly ideas, for me to be involved in.
Erm wow. A Chuck Berry line, song title?
Too Much Monkey Business.(for me to be involved in).

Sorry, I seem to have digressed.
Did notice the EA site had a blurb for Sims3.
Sadly, it seems little more than S2 with Vista like appetites for GPU time.
Of course, I could be wrong.
As for EP's to S2. Racking the old grey matter, I think I recall seeing 10 EP slots, written into the deep dark depths of Sims2.
Some xml file from memory. Don't have S2 installed on this new machine.
I do have the OpenLife server installed though. Once I can get a better handle on running and administering it, I'll think about hooking up to the grid, using a Linux based server machine.
Sita, you can set up an OpenLifeGrid account using the same name as SL, and use the very same SL viewer to log on.
Also using the same viewer are GiantGrid, OpenGrid, and a whole other slew of systems. All with the final intentions of being able to seamlessly connect and teleport back and forth with SL. Making the whole VR grid into a true globe.

Here is the grid list page http://opensimulator.org/wiki/OpenSim:Grids

Come on EA\Maxis, meet the challenge with Sims some damned number, and I'll think about coming back. Oh, and all of these softwares for the VR grid?
Free to download. Free to set up an account.
And, Free to roam and explore in.
Ahhh.
I think I see where the corporate boys, may have a small problem there.

Any how, it's raining and I'm going to gaze joyfully out the window for a while.
Might even go do a happy puppy dance in the paddocks.

See you all later.
