The AL Patch Is Out!

Oh happy happy joy joy!

Now I can get AL installed/patched/working before the Mansion & Garden SP is released, which is very important to a "correct install order" wolf like me!

(ZW does a happy wolf dance. You are very happy you can't see it!)

Ah, but has the patch been beta-tested by the users yet?

It's the usual split between people who say the patch fixes stuff & people who say their games are still borked.

Then you have to factor in the number of complainers who won't remove their Custom Content & still blame Maxis....

Anyway, I am happy to see a patch out, as it usually means it fixes something in the game!

(I am growing more & more convinced that keeping the core game files set to "Read Only" stops many of the BFBVFS people experience with EPs, as I never see many of the bugs people complain about.)

Yeah, an astonishing amount of misinformation about this game shows up on the fan boards. I stopped paying attention to a very long time ago; but then, I also stopped installing expansion packs.

Greg stopped at OFB. He said he likes his game like it is now and keeps saying that nothing in the EPs since then is good enough to risk messing it up.
