Default Assorted stuff....

Sorry about the BodyShop screenies, but I figured they'd never get up if I waited for in-game pictures!
Thanks to: MixdCrysy, BlooM, Adele, Bigelow Tea and DC Comics! My apologies to the makers of the Sim and her jeans; I can't remember where they came from.

Witch Dress: needs MixdCrysy's 34cenh34 mesh

Gingersnappish T-Shirt: Maxis mesh

Gingersnappish is a gingerbread flavored tea made by Bigelow Tea.

Wonder Woman Hoodie: needs Adele's mesh (attached)

The Wonder Woman logo is a trademark of DC Comics.

Two Knit Sweaters: needs BlooM's cowl neck sweater mesh

Five Cable Knit Sweaters: needs BlooM's cowl neck sweater mesh

I'm spreading the addiction by corrupting all my friends (and attempting to make in-game money when they try the game).

Each texture usually needs its own technique. Fortunately, you can usually recolor them at that point!

Lessee....

The witch dress was mostly just a recolor of one of MixdCrysy's textures combined with bits of the Maxis texture. Fiddly work because there's pieces of the texture all over the place! The fancy trim at the bottom of the skirt is actually part of the Maxis texture, hidden by the ragged hemline, which I straightened out.

The Gingersnappish shirt used the art from the Bigelow Tea site, scaled it, then a recolor of the Maxis shirt to match the red from the picture.

The WW hoodie was the same thing, starting with the WW logo. (Tori has this shirt IRL and wanted it for her Sims, so she found the logo for me.) The ties and knots were hand drawn on their own layer, then had the Emboss layer effect applied.

The plain pink sweater was actually a swatch I'd used for a texture on the knit dress that Sheba likes so much. I had some cable knit swatches for that dress too, but couldn't find them, so I had to redo them. That was basically finding a rectangular bit that would tile nicely, then scaling and adjusting the position so the cables were nicely spaced on the finished top.

The sparkly dresses and tops were a fabric swatch (I think the blue was the original color) scaled and sharpened. So many people don't think to scale their swatches!

The guys' sweaters were the textures for the girls' sweaters, plus a bit of the plain knit for the neck band, recolored to match. Unfortunately, some of my layers got flattened together, so I wasn't able to easily replicate all of the girls' sweaters.

Another trick for realistic looking fabric is to "add noise" to add a few speckles, then blur it until they mostly disappear, leaving a nice rich background to add your trims.
