Maybe so. Now that I think of it, if any of my grandfather's cows had names, I never heard them. They sure tasted good, though!

Oh, yes.
We had a BBQ of the last steer killed, last night.
Nice BIG rump steaks, served on serving platters because they would not fit on a normal dinner plate.
10 months old, he dressed out to just over 250 Kg of boned beef.
That's, a quarter of a ton, of farm fresh, organic beef in the freezer. YUM.

My grandmother named every single animal on my uncle's farm.

My nephew named his calf. He used to pet his steak, say "Poor Eloise," and eat it.

Chicken Run is a G-rated animated movie about some chickens who escape from becoming chicken pies by turning their henhouse into an airplane, sort of.

Oh, yes I know that.

I have even watched it on local TV. Mel Gibson voice over, Hogan's Heroes clone. Quite funny at times.

It's just I couldn't quite make the quantum leap in one step. I'm kinda stuck in where the, what the, oh all right then.

It's a grown up thing right? The good guy wears a black hat and pats dogs, the bad guy is in the white hat kicking the dog. Right?
