Default NASA's Shiny New Web Site

Ya gotta see this!

NASA updated the public web site again, and this time I think it's pretty neat! Besides being more attractive, I think it's easier to navigate than before.

The only drawback I have encountered so far is that it is even more bandwidth-intensive. That might cause some consternation for folks on dial-up (or a Certain Someone Down Under).

It's not too bad once it's in cache. Haven't tried it on any of my desktops yet, just this underpowered laptop.

Not sure about all those big icons yet. I guess I'll get used to it.

Hmm... yeah... I'm looking at that site on a really big screen. That could make a difference.

How big? I use a 23 inch wide screen LCD.

True.

World famous "Wintal", purchased at ENORMOUS expense, at "Tan'De".

TV (analogue), inbuilt DVD, SVGA and DVI to PC, and a bunch of other stuff I've never heard of before.

It's pretty good actually.

Looks like it has a built in DVB/DTT digital terrestrial tuner. Do you have DTT in your area yet?

There must be a new model out. Mine is a couple of years old now.

And yes, all our networks broadcast in parallel at the moment.
Same junk programs mind you, but really nice quality junk.

Digital Terrestrial Tuner? That sounds like something you would use to fertilize the dirt when you want to plant computer chips.

My biggest monitor is a Samsung SyncMaster 213T, whatever that it is.

Nah. It lets you adjust the Earth's magnetic field for less interference.

Oh, right! That's another innovation from the Australian Labour Party's climate control program!

Bloody ALP again. I suppose they heard about this Polar shift thing.

They just can't shake the old "Commeradian" days. Socialista to the core.
Don't you think about it, I know what's better for you than you do, etc.

Well what do you expect, when the new Environment Minister is a former pop\rock singer, turned "Greenie" spokesperson, turned politician.
But, he's not allowed to talk about Kyoto, because he gets all "Emo" about it.
John Howard was out voted, by a former ABC on screen journo named Maxine McCue. He is now unemployed!
Maybe George W. can put in a good word for him somewhere.
The new PM, Mr. Rudd, speaks fluent Mandarin, and just loves his Chinese mates.
The rest, hell, middle America knows as much about them as we do.

Ooh boy, the next couple of years are going to be interesting.

STS. 9 hrs 25 mins and counting.

Well, I suppose there's comfort to know that there are crazies in Australia, too; but somehow, it's kind of depressing to think that someone like that could actually get elected.

Mate, I think the world is just one big looney bin.

The UFO's are the doctors and nurses coming and going, and I'm all better now.

So can someone ring my mum, to come and get me?
