Ohhh... now I get it!

It certainly counts as creative use of custom titles!

Aaaarrrgggghhhh! What Californicated Maxis Moron thought it would be a good idea to put hundreds of saguaro cacti mixed with deciduous trees on a lush moutain terrain?

I'm pretty sure it's BrineyFjord.sc4. Maybe it's because so much saguaro grows around the fjord in Norway.

Grumble, grumble... I think I have at least 20 hours invested in deleting those dadgum cactuses so that they won't show up in screen shots.

Too bad you can't re-export that 'hood back to the SC4 format so you can use it again without the cactus decorations!

Oh, that would be nice!

Also on the list of things I sure with we had: A neighborhood editor that can fix terrain, modify roads, and has some tools for things like "delete all these bally saguaros"!

It must be right, I'm sure I saw such a thing in a movie once.

Aha! That's it! They were thinking of making a movie set, like the guys who show palm trees in the jungles of Vietnam.

I have a nice lot with all temperate trees for download... People say my screenshots on that lot look like catalog pictures!

Are you thinking of a lot or a whole neighborhood? The problem I had with that neighborhood (it's the Meat Market) was the whole neighorhood terrain. It's one of those things I never worried about until I reinstalled Nightlife and suddenly could see all the neighboring terrain.

Saguaro aside, it's a pretty neat feature. You can do a lot for screen shots by dolling up the open terrain.

Mine's just a lot. I've gotta get the old puter going and see if it can run SC4 without crashing every time I turn around... then I can make 'hoods!

That's a neat idea! Some of the trees in SC4 show up in The Sims 2, but I don't know which is which.

Come to think of it, that might also explain where the saguaro came from. There might be a mismatch in the GUID for a different kind of tree in SC4.

That sounds like a reasonable explanation!

Yeah, in that case it just means the guys at Maxis were sloppy, but at least they weren't complete idiots.
